WIERD and Sacred Bones Present the Debut Live Performance by VAR with DJs Taylor Brode, Samuel kK, and Glenn

June 13, 2012

Alright shady ladies it's gonna be a wildly hot and bothered fleshtastic evening with the whole Copenhagen crew in the house tonight, as WIERD and Sacred Bones present the live debut of VÅR, the new shredded and blown out, darkly delicious minimal synth project fronted by Elias Bender Rønnenfelt of Iceage along with Sexdrome's Loke Rahbek of the Posh Isolation label. His excellency M. Veryraryansky will be joined by the lovely Ms. Taylor Brode of SB and our beloved old hero of WIERD years past Samuel kK of Led Er Est on the wheels of the VR World to spin a soundtrack to the sweaty-sweet syrupy-smooth desires flowin free and easy downtown. Formerly known as WAR, the band's first track under the new moniker kicked off the recent SB comp. Todo Muere Vol. 2, and a full-length is on the way next year.

Also as we announced last week, the WIERD/Show No Mercy Northside Festival Showcase with Deafheaven(CA)/Indian Jewelry(TX)/Pinkish Black(TX)/Vattnet Viskar(MA) is all set for this fri. at St. Vitus in the BK! This is destined to be a very special show traversing all heretofore preconceptions you've ever had about the bloodily blurring worlds of post-punk, black metal, noise rock, and drunkely dirty coldwave-injected psych, should be an elegantly cryptic, ultra-heavy mess of a night indeed!:
