A few new developments of Very Rare Note this week in the WIERD World:

Firstly we're proud to say that after over 2 long exhausting years in production the first single 'Flight of the Demoselles' off the forthcoming debut LP from Blacklist entitled 'Midnight of the Century' is now finally available for preview on the Blacklist and WIERD MySpace pages, more info on the single and LP's release date TBA soon!:

Also this week the New long awaited debut retrospective CD 'Pursue the Tragic Tune' from Opus Finis is finally available! Please visit the website for more info and MP3 soundclips from this fantastic release from the band from Miami which has been a vital part of the WIERD family since the very beginning:

Also in the WIERD shop we're very happy to say we now have a limited quantity of the 'Confusing Outsides' LP, 'Views Beyond the City Wall' CD(with Silent Signals - here available in the US for the first time!), and the 'Cruelty Frames Our Age' CDr from Martial Canterel...Its first come first serve on these releases, apologies to everyone who missed out the first time around...Several trax from these releases are as of today streaming on M. Canterel's ever-elusive MySpace page as well:

Lastly, our beloved WIERD in-house video documentarian Stephen Musgrave has just completed the first Live concert video entiteld 'Interior' from the Further Reductions show at the party on January 14th...This great track joins the amazing, slowly growing body of work Stephen has compiled at the party, please check it out on Vimeo, and visit the WIERD Records YouTube page for many more of Stephen's killer videos from the likes of Xeno & Oaklander, Blacklist, Martial Canterel, and Opus Finis...Special thanks to J. Beton for his additional camera work on this video!

This week WIERD is proud to welcome Death Domain from Baltimore, MD in his NYC debut at the weekly party! Adam and his one man all-live-analogue electronic ice machine(who is also behind the likes of 'SIDS' - Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) joins the newest wave of east coast minimal synth bands springin up like frozen cold wildfire before our eyes, joining the likes of recent WIERD performers Further Reductions, Silk Flowers, and N Antolik...Adam's sound is as cryptically raw as it gets - summoning the seminal Industrial/EBM sounds of the likes of early Cabaret Voltaire, Skinny Puppy, and 'Travelogue'-era Human League, and as is the case with N. Antolik, his unapologetically 'American' vox connote the great legends from the secret history of US minimal electronics such as Experimental Products, Mark Lane, Bugger West, John Bender, and Steve Fisk! See you in all in the WIERD...do you dare to get...VR???

Pieter, Glenn, and Sean Ragon(Cult of Youth) Spin the WIERD!
