WIERD is a weekly party run by artist and DJ Pieter Schoolwerth every Wednesday night from 10pm-4am at Home Sweet Home, located in downtown New York City. Since 2003 WIERD has been dedicated to featuring live performances by bands, artists and DJs working within the worlds of Coldwave, Minimal Synth, Industrial/Noise, Post-Punk, Neofolk, Industrial Dance/EBM, and Performance Art and is specifically committed to showcasing difficult to find, very rare new music and performance within these interrelated genres.

WIERD has featured live performances by many artists beyond the Wierd label bands such as Xeno & Oaklander, Martial Canterel, Frank(just Frank), Blacklist and Automelodi that include the likes of Echo West, Wolf Eyes, The Chameleons, Absolute Body Control, Nite Jewel, Blank Dogs, Hive Mind, Envenomist, Zola Jesus, The Soft Moon, Yellow Tears, Cult of Youth, Bettina Köster(of Malaria), Religious to Damn, Pharmakon, Religious Knives, DJ Andy Bell(Erasure), Jutta Koether and Mark Solotroff(Bloodyminded, ex-Intrinsic Action), Kid Congo Powers and Annie Anxiety, Vizusa(ex-Excepter), Carlos Giffoni(No Fun Fest), and many more.
